Advice Promotion of employees of BPS-1 – BPS-8 Employees as a junior Clerk qualification:-
On November 02, 2023, the Punjabi government, through the Directorate General Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, released a notification on the Minimum Qualifications for Promotion and Appointment as Junior Clerk BPS-11. The Department stated that in order to promote employees from BPS-01 to BPS-08 as junior clerks, FA/F.Sc. 2nd Division is needed. The information is as follows:
Minimum Requirements for Junior Clerk BPS-11 Position Promotion and Appointment:-
Please refer to the Administrative Department’s letter no. SE(E)10-96/89(voi-v) dated 19-10-2023, in which a copy of the S&GAD (Regulation Wing) letter no. SOR-III(S&GAD)2-17/2023 dated 11-09-2023 about the aforementioned issue has been forwarded by the Administrative Department. The Higher Secondary School Certificate (2nd Division) will be required for both initial recruitment (under the 80% quota) and promotion (under the 20% quota), according to S&GAD clarification. It is crucial to follow the guidelines in letter and spirit.
Prior to this, Matirc was the minimal requirement for promotion to Junior Clerk BPS-09. The government raised the minimal requirement for the Junior Clerk position when it upgraded it from BPS-09 to BPS-11. The government has also improved the prerequisites for hiring junior clerks in a similar manner. A least FA/F.Sc. or comparable qualification will also be required of the new hires in order to be appointed as Junior Clerks BPS-11.
