Here is a chart showing the salary increases for all government employees starting on December 1, 2023, as a result of the annual increment.

Government personnel will receive a salary increase this year, effective January 12, 2023, only as a result of the 2023 annual increment. For general cadre employees, all other allowances are fixed at a certain amount.

Details of Salaries and Pension Increased in Budget 2023

Grade 1 t0 1635% of Salaries are increased
Grade 17 or above30 % of Salaries are increased
Pension17.5 increased

In certain departments, running basic salary may come with some perks. If any, these allowances will rise. All of the allowances, meanwhile, are locked and won’t rise this year.

Stages of Increment

I will go into great detail about each allowance that the government stopped in letters dated different times. Details are as follows:-

Disparity Reduction Allowance 2021 @ 25%:-

Through Notification No. 14(1)R-3/2021 dated 03-03-2021, the Finance Division awarded Disparity Reduction Allowance 2021 (DRA-2021) at 25% of the running base pay as of March 1, 2021. Additionally, it froze the same allowance, effective March 1, 2021.
