Government personnel will receive a salary increase this year, effective January 12, 2023, only as a result of the 2023 annual increment. For general cadre employees, all other allowances are fixed at a certain amount.
Details of Salaries and Pension Increased in Budget 2023
Grade 1 t0 16 | 35% of Salaries are increased |
Grade 17 or above | 30 % of Salaries are increased |
Pension | 17.5 increased |
In certain departments, running basic salary may come with some perks. If any, these allowances will rise. All of the allowances, meanwhile, are locked and won’t rise this year.
Stages of Increment

Allowances That Are Frozen
The following allowances are frozen with effect from the dates mentioned against each:

Disparity Reduction Allowance 2021 @ 25%:-
Through Notification No. 14(1)R-3/2021 dated 03-03-2021, the Finance Division awarded Disparity Reduction Allowance 2021 (DRA-2021) at 25% of the running base pay as of March 1, 2021. Additionally, it froze the same allowance, effective March 1, 2021.
